Five Moves for a Younger You!

By Cynthia Rowland

We're sophisticated - we know that lotions and potions will help to keep our skin smooth and blemish free but can make up, concealers and other cosmetic skin care items make us look years younger? Well, sort of...
Most of what women and men want to fix is aging in their faces. It's the drooping facial features that make us look old. Think about it - does your face look and feel firm? If you're over the age of 40 there is softness and sagging in your features whether you see the tell-tale signs or not.

Perhaps you've noticed the sagging features but you feel helpless - after all, surgery is not exactly a walk in the park and you've seen results that may have you scratching your head as you wonder what people think when they look in the mirror and see less than stellar results or features that look pulled and unnatural.
Here are five anti-aging tips that really work to help you look younger now.

1. Lift your brows
Sagging, droopy eye lids can impair vision and make you look tired. Use this proven exercise six days in a row: Place the three middle fingers of each hand underneath your eye brows. Drop the palms of your hands to your face. Push your eye brows straight up and then slightly outwards toward the temple (this stops the "elevens" from forming). Use your forehead muscle and push downward into your fingertips while holding your brows high. Count to five. Release and take a cleansing breath. Get right back into position and hold the next three contractions for a count of ten seconds each. Close your eyes at the 7th second.

2. Crow's Feet
Crow's feet are caused by sagging muscles around the eye - compression of the muscles cause wrinkles. Make a fist with both hands and extend your thumbs. Turn your hands upside down with your palms upward in a fist. Press the pad of your thumbs again the bone area next to the outside corner of the eye. Put gentle pressure against the bone area but do not pull or tug your skin. Turn your eyes upward and make a squinting motion until your eyes begin to flutter. Hold for a count of five. Remove your hands, take a deep cleansing breath, get right back into position and repeat three times for a count of ten seconds each.

3. Jowls/Lower Mouth
An aging face can look "square" as the lower muscles that surround the mouth become elongated and the contour is lessened. Mouth corners can turn downward making the mouth area look stressed. Lift your chin until you feel tension under your chin. While keeping your head lifted, turn your face to the right and look up, over your shoulder. Slightly open your mouth and jut out your bottom teeth. Hold this position for five seconds. Relax your face and bring your head to its level and original position. Take a deep cleansing breath and repeat the move three times for ten seconds each. REPEAT THIS EXERCISE FOR THE OTHER SIDE OF YOUR FACE for a total of thirty five seconds.

4. Create fuller lips.
Gooey lip creams can leave you breathless and surprised when they sting your lips; you want fuller lips but using glosses and goos just aren't working for you. There is a better way that is safe and doesn't hurt at all. The Luscious Lips Lip Pump can dramatically increase your lip size when you first condition your lips for two weeks using the pump only ten seconds each day to slowly introduce fluid into the lips. After the conditioning period you are ready for full, pouty, more kissable lips and they stay that way for hours.

5. Stop that double chin.
A double chin takes away from your good looks and will always make you look older than you even care to know. There are several exercises just for a double chin but this one flattens the fullness. Lift your chin to create a taut line between your chin and the base of your neck. Keep your shoulders erect. Press the surface of your tongue flat/firmly against the roof of your mouth. Your teeth and lips will be slightly apart. Hold this contraction for a count of five. Relax your neck and bring your head to its level position. Take a deep cleansing breath and get right back into position. Repeat the movement three times for a count of ten seconds each.

Looking younger has never been easier. No pain, no sutures and no surprises.
